How old is too old to be out partying? In your opinion of course and why?

The reason I ask is my Grandma was out last weekend........she fell on the dance floor and broke her tailbone and both wrist along with gashing open her head......she's 73 btw.

She sounds like one heck of a grandma! lol

In a more appropriately serious tone - I hope that she will be OK. I would have said, "you can't be too old to party" but I guess at any age you just need to know your limit and be responsible!

First Im super sorry your grandmother got injured. But honestly I think if you can do it responsibly (like without drinking to excess or doing drugs of course) then go for it.

I think being young at heart keeps you young physically and prolongs your life. The more active you are (with in reason of course) the better quality of life I think you can have.

OMG a boogying grandma!

I think its more HOW you act like Mara implied. I say to out and have fun... as long as you don't make people around you miserable by being obnoxious, or endanger yourself or others, go for it.

I think I should be thankful she is still able and willing to prty it up but on the flip side she is like a mother to me and I'm selfish and want her around forever......so falling on the dance floor isn't exactly what I had in kind, lol!!!!

But she did have a good time so yeah go granny!!!!

I love a woman who knows how to have a good time. Safely, of course. Wink

Sorry to hear that your Grandma broke her tailbone & wrists & I hope her recovery is swift. I actually find it encouraging to hear about women in the 70's and up going out and doing what they love.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma and hope that she heals quickly! I wouldn't put an age on partying. I hope I have the energy your Grandma does when I am her age. I'm not a night owl, but going to bed around 8pm like my Grandparents doesn't sound fun, LOL.

I wish I had an answer to this question! My mom is in her 60s and still thinks she's 20. It sounds really great to say, "good for them, enjoying life!" But that isn't always the reality... it's not all fun and games, at least not in my Mom's case!! I wish she would grow up and put the partying behind her, but I'm not sure it'll ever happen! Sad

On the flip side, I have a grandma who is almost 85 (and healthy as a horse!), who's been sitting on her couch waiting to die for the last 20 years. She frustrates me to no end because she won't get out there and LIVE!!!

I guess my family is full of one extreme or the other?? lol
