Shopping success Empty Shopping success

Post by jessicabree Wed Mar 16, 2011 8:42 pm

I never have more than 2 pairs of work pants that fit right. I whined to thomas I needed more work clothes and we just got out bonus so he told me to go shopping.

I went to Macy's and signed up for a new card with them

For $200 (and I should end up getting a credit card bill that is only $170 in the end, not 200) I got:

A super comfy thin pair of jeans (meaning the material is thin)
3 pairs of dress pants (all black Smile but one is kind of shimmery)
a tank top to go under sweaters
a black silk blend cardigan sweater
a short sleeve top
2 long sleeve cute cotton tops

NINE items for $170... I never have this happen Smile

Okay thanks for letting me share my little moment of retail therapy!

yes I did! So much was on sale, and I lucked into a few items, and Macy's was doing 20% for using your Macy's card, 20% extra off for a new card.

Thats fantastic! I know how you always say you never luck out on sales so I am super excited for you!

I actually need some work clothes (especially pants) too so I am headed to Old Navy tomorrow for their semi annual 30% off sale.

Shopping success 860701 I love when clothes shopping is a success. It's so easy to leave a clothes shopping experience in a bad mood, I am so happy that it worked out so well for you! Nine things for $170 is awesome.

It was crazy Kim because I am btwn the regular and plus size section. So I tried on pants in the regular section first and none fit right. So then I dragged myself up to the plus size section which is so much smaller.

Luckily that went well Smile

I wear a size 18 (no reason to hide it) and the weird new thing is that I love getting tops in size 0X. Not 1X, but 0X. They fit PERFECT... but how funny of a size is that?

That is funny! I haven't heard of 0X before. But that perfectly solves the problem we were talking about between XL and 1X!

Or XL but fat arms! I find some XL tops are too tight in my arms and shoulders. Very Happy I love the new 0X size because they are more fitted on me but don't look weird on me.

I wanna make you feel much better, I don't know what you all weigh......but I weigh about 143.........with that being said, with the way clothes are made now, since I'm kinda chesty or unless I want it cling tight I wear an Xl in most tops and I stull feel like it enhances my arm fat. I swear the clothes are made smaller and smaller and tighter and tighter....thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

Awesome finds at Macy's! I need to get on that bandwagon too! But not Macy's... I'm a Chicago girl and boycott Macy's since May & Co. renamed Marshall Field's Macy's! Booooo!

Yay, Bree! Well fitting clothes always makes a woman feel good.

I have started shopping Macy's again because my sister introduced me to their awesome deals. I got Lily a pair of Levi's for $7 a few weeks ago & the baby a cool flannel shirt for $3. You can't beat that!
