I went to buy the stuff for some trees yesterday and those cones are NOT cheap! I wanted to wrap them in a burlap twine and then put a red wooden star on top. But then I decided against it when I found out how much those dang cones were. Just wasn't a priority project for me this year. :sigh:

I'll have to keep my eyes open for when they go on sale.

Michael's charges and arm and a leg, about $6 for the green ones, but sometimes Big Lots has the el cheapo white ones for a buck, you just have to catch them. Not sure about Walmart and JoAnn's...
and one of the dollar stores carries them but they crumble a little...

I need to look up Big Lots and the dollar stores to see if/where they are in my area.

I was at Hobby Lobby and the big cone was $7.99! And I wanted to do 3 trees so yeah, just not worth it for me this year.

I know you can order from Dollar Tree online. I think you have to order 12, but that's still cheaper than buying 3 at that price.

M's and J's has white ones cheaper often... The green one's can be more usually. But yeah without a coupon it can be crazy

For a quick alternative you can make your own cone out of paper. Not quite the same but way cheaper than buying a bunch of Styrofoam trees.

Mon, I said the exact same thing. There were a few wreaths I wanted to attempt this year, but with the price of the styrofoam in the craft stores, I could have just bought a pretty one on etsy.

Love the rose ribbon trees but given the price of that ribbon that makes for some expensive decor. I guess if you used pins vs glue you could undo them and reuse the ribbon on projects.
