Posts since last visit

First just a word of warning that "see posts since last visit" does not work the same as New Posts on boards like Scrapfreak... sadly.

We can add it to the menu bar We need to make a button for it, so I added it but for now its this dude only because it amuses me

Maybe Kim will make us some cute buttons for our menu bar, including a New Posts button

I guess since you said pretty please with a cherry on top I can work on it this week! I am done with school now, so I have time to do things I WANT to do rather than all the things I HAD to do!

I am hoping for new post functionality. Not a button per se, but where every post I have yet to read still shows up as unread after I leave and come back. Right now they all act as if I'd read them when I leave, resulting in missed posts.

Well wait...mine don't show up as read if I leave and come back.

I just left a few unread...left and came back...and they are all still unread.

Maybe there's a time limit to that actually. Maybe I need to leave for longer.

Im having the same experience Monica has. Mine stay marked as New until i actually go into that thread.

Mine all stay as new until I actually look at the post.

Hmmmm. I'll have to investigate more carefully. I just notice that I'll click on a thread that says "new" but it takes me halfway through the thread, even though I didn't read any part of it. Not too much of a biggie, I suppose.

Actually, I have noticed that before as well. When I click on the little yellow paper looking thing to take me to the last unread post, sometimes, but not all the time, it skips over some of them. I thought that was just me.

I logged on on my iPhone and then later when I logged in on my laptop a bunch were no longer "new" that had been on my iPhone (but I had not read) I think.

When i leave and come back, they are no longer new...
maybe it's because I'm away longer?

Or I wonder logging off, different web browsers, etc.

I tend to browse from several different computers each day. My desk pc, my work laptop, and this week, my IL's computer.

I guess I was noticing it mostly when I switched computer. Like check things out at home on the desk pc, then show up at my IL's and find that everything I had left unread at home is now marked as read. It makes me feel like I have to finish reading every single post before I get up! lol Not too bad now, but sure to be a problem very quickly!
