ooh that looks like a good recipe!

I don't have an exact recipe for Sangria, but this is how I make Sangria while we are in Mexico!

I use a bottle of red slightly sweet wine, a little sugar, slices of fresh oranges, a few slices of limes, apple wedges and then refrigerate in a pitcher overnight. serve with either sparkly water or fizzy lemonlime soda.

I always use the recipe in my Better Homes and Gardens cook book and everyone loves it. You make a simple syrup with the cut up fruit in it and then it goes with the wine and some club soda maybe? It's been a while.

Ohhh, my girlfriend has the best recipe! It isn't a typical one you would see. I will email her to see if she can send it to me.

Anyone have any good white Sangria recipes?

I had an experience with red wine, and I still can't bring myself to have a glass lol

okay... looked for it and couldn't find it...

basically it looks a lot like Charlotte's recipe with some spiced rum or grand marnier added.

more alcohol = better

k, red wine is a migraine trigger for me, but your story sounds more fun.
perhaps it is similar to the reason for my aversion to lemon drop shots

My story started at a wedding, and ended at 5am with me waking up in my shower, after being there for three hours...with the water running.

I've never woken up so scared in my entire life. "OMG what is all this water falling on me and where in godsname am i?"

here is my girlfriend's recipe. keep in mind it isn't a true sangria. i always want the one I had at the Gaylord in Orlando because it is the best i have tasted, but this really yummy and pretty darn close.

my girfriend's reply to my request:
" yes, I have the recipe memorized, it's a bottle of red, apple puckers (like a cup), 1 cup of apple/cranberry juice, 1 small can of pineapple juice and a splash of sprite, then i slice oranges, lemons and limes to soak in it"
