2011 Crafty goals

Post by fmtinsley on Tue Dec 21, 2010 12:29 pm

We have just under 2 weeks until the new year! I have been thinking about what I want to accomplish craftwise in 2011.

* try one new technique each month
* more DT submissions
* more digi scrapping
* get a project published
* do a 365 album for 2011
* finish albums waiting on title pages or other stuff.

I'm sure I'll be adding to the list but it's a start.

How about everyone else - what do you want to do next year?

- Finish my journaling for my 2009 (ahem) Project 365 album
- Spruce up my 2010 WITL album
- at least one page for me (not a DT assignment or submission) each month
- get published

My goal is to scrap more and to really really let myself play and get more artsy with my projects.

I want to scrap at least 1x per weekly
I want to finish the 4 mini albums I have laying around half done (including my 2009 year in review)
Redo my studio

My scrappy goals for 2011 are finishing the WW2 album that I've been working on. I plan on practicing my photo editing skills while on winter holiday.

my other main goal is to finish a digi album for my mother of a cruise that she and my dad took to the Holyland!

Mara, I need to go back and finish a page or two in several albums and do some title pages for some. I think I'll add that too. Boy, my list is growing!

I'm keeping my goals very general: I just plan to start scrapping again! (I haven't even scrapped the birth of my eight month old granddaughter. )

Don't feel bad. I have only 1 LO for the birth of my 16yr old daughter and none for the 13yr old son or 10yr old daughter

My goals:

Work on making Creative Soup a success Very Happy
Try to get more class participation then I have had in the past
Create a year long album in 2011 (I will share some details about this new year long soup project soon!)
Avoid applying for DT's unless I am feeling really inspired by the DT (meaning don't apply just to be on a team or just for free stuff)
Try new techniques
Get messy more! (paint, ink, etc)

I'm not making any this next year! I did last year and set the bar wayyyy to high, but I learned a lesson qaulity not qaunity is what counts! This year I just wanna have fun and make every lo perfect instead of trying to get caught up!

I just want to continue scrapping. I don't really count LOs/projects and such and since I stopped trying to scrap "chronologically" I feel so much freedom to "scrap" - I never feel "behind" anymore. This year I want to continue to learn good design principles and be challenged to "tell our stories". I'll bet the "soup" will help with that goal. Smile

I hope to scrap a lot. This is an excellent outlet for me. I hope to have most of my photos scrapped, I don't like having things unfinished. And I hope to keep up with project 365 - this is the first time I will be taking part.
