Goals for 2011

Post by StevieK on Tue Dec 28, 2010 12:10 pm

I almost put 2010. Geez.

Sooo.... Have you set any goals yet for the year 2011? Not resolutions but things that you would like to get accomplished. I had a list that I was going to type out and then forgot as soon as I started the thread. Gosh. Feel free to list and list and then list some more whether it's scrappy related or just plain goals you want to get accomplished. Have fun!

my biggest goal is to take this house, room by room and purge all the junk we have that we don't need or use anymore. I have a closet in the family room that still have toys of Mandi's when she was like 5!!! I do want to make more scrappy time for myself this coming year too!

I have a list of projects that I want to get done next year! I started getting rid of excess clutter last year and plan on continuing next year!

Organizing is my word for 2011

I found a huge box of doll house furniture from when my nieces were little (1970's) that I will be selling on Ebay next year;

and there is the box of salt and pepper shakers that I've collected since the 1960's which haven't seen the light of day for at least 20 years which will be on the auction list too!

WOW Charlotte! Just wow on everything from decades ago. I think it's cool just to be able to look back on those items and reminisce.

Scrappy Goals:

1. Start dating my LOs and projects.
2. Try to at least do 10 pages a month. That's a big goal but we'll see how it goes.
3. Get published (I have a whole year to try so let's see how much I procrastinate)
4. Stay organized. (My scrappy stuff is in my room stored on a bookshelf, a desk, and jetmax cubes. It should be declared a state of emergency.)

I have a huge list of things that go along with my One Little Word this year. I need to actually sit down and type them out so I can keep myself accountable.

My word for 2011 is simplify.

But I don't want to only look at it in the financial sense, that is buy less. Because besides scrappy stuff I don't buy much at all.

I want to simplify my life by taking less on and enjoying more of life and spending time with my family and enjoying the simple things in life.

Oh and of course I have to mention this yet again with the hope that saying it so many times will actually make it come true - I want to have my photos all scrapped up to date Smile

2011 goals...where to begin??!
Move craftroom to basement. It currently consumes the 'living room'. There's plenty space but I would love it enclosed and pet free! It would go into the area designated for storage (nothing is in there yet and needs to finish being built out). This is going to be a fight w/DH!
Scrap more, make lots of cards, use up stash & not spend as much as last year (just started last year & had to buy, buy, buy!!), learn more techniques, attend a crop for the 1st time, meet new scrappy pals in the area...none of my friends scrap!
So much more!!

You'll make lots of scrappy friends here. None of my friends scrap either, it does make it hard to find someone to scrap with. That's why I love crops and I love the Soup.

This year's goals focus on me:
1. Run a 5K in March.
2. Run a 10K in July.
3. Find more time to create.
4. Build stronger relationships with some key people in my life.

There. I said it. Hold me to it, girls!

Nothing specific for me this year....just do my best at school and work and make sure I get some scrappy time in.

I am going to bite the bullet and get someone to come clean the house every other week - with school I can't keep it up as much as I like and that will give me creative time.

My goals for 2011:

1. Weight Loss
2. Move to America
3. Survive my first year of having a teenager in the house
4. Purge

Granted....#2 is a bit out of my control. But it is still a goal of mine. Smile
