Useless Question....

Do you save ornament hooks or do you buy new ones every year?

For some reason, I save them. Then I can't find them. Then I buy new ones.

I try to pinch them so they stay on the ornament but the next year most of them are gone!
drives me nuts

The years I use ribbon instead of hooks I do try to save them other than that if they stay on great if not i don't stress about it.

i usually have enough floating around in the bottom of the decorations box to get by on. this year i did buy a new box, but didn't open it.

We always save ours on the ornament and hardly ever lose them.

Since I don't take the ornaments off they tree, yes, I do save the hooks!
(I just wrap the whole tree in an old tablecloth and move it from the family room to storage.)

I save them, but they smell aweful to me if it's not a "fresh pack"!

They DO smell! I never thought about it!

This year I'm tossing them.

ribbon is a fabu idea! i have tons of ribbon. that's a project for next year.

I just found a box of new ornament hooks in a cabinet drawer that I haven't used since last year! I'll be using these next year (if I can find them again)

yeah, i actually have xmas presents i bought my sisters this year in a very safe place. so safe, i never found them.

Really, they do smell...it's a funky metal like smell.

I have artificial trees. I love the ease of 3 pieces and lights already on the tree.

We've had artificial trees for about 4 or 5 years now....don't know if I plan on going back to fresh or not.

I never noticed them smelling either... all my ornaments with the hooks stay on.. never really have a problem... I needed new hooks hti syear because I had almost all new ornaments...

(PS once i opened all the boxes- I found the hooks I bought LAST year for the new ornaments- LOL I sure hope I put them back in again... I didn't remember seeing them the other day when I put everything back!)
