New Year's Eve Empty New Year's Eve

Post by Scrappinlala Thu Dec 30, 2010 12:30 am

So what are you guys doing? Anything fun?

I was thinking I didn't prepare anything to eat yet... LOL I need to figure something out.

I know i am going to freeze some OJ and mix with wine... like my friend Tonya! LOL

I might just order sushi and call it a night... Sylla might come over- but he might not... he has to work the next day and we are supposed to get a snow storm... I really wanted to go out somewhere... even bought a dress... but doesn;t look like i am going anywhere... AGAIN this year..

What are you guys doing? Eating?

We'll order Chinese for dinner, then the rest of the evening will be some combination of play a game/do a puzzle/watch a movie/hang out until 11 when we watch the ball drop. Then more of the above until midnight when we do our own celebration and put two boys who think they should stay up even later into bed. We will follow shortly after.

We all hang out here and play games and stuff. This will be the first year with both girls. I am sure they will not make it to midnight, so I'm not sure how it will work this time. Oh, and we are having a ham dinner since we didn't have it on Christmas.

I have no idea what we're doing.

It's supposed to be snowing and really cold so I'm sure that will keep us in.

Having a little shindig over here. My friend and her husband will be coming over and possibly another friend of mine. My friend's husband is super excited to drink. We're going to try Irish Car Bombs. I'm scared! Laughing

The "adults" hit the thrift store yesterday to buy appropriate "clothing" for NYE. My cousin got the fantastic idea to create fantastically horrible outfits to surprise the kids with. We'll be eating hor dourves, hanging out, karaoke-ing, and probably jamming some, since this year we have what amounts to a 5 piece band in the house!

Sounds like a lot of fun ideas... Chinese sounds fun too! LOL There is a great chinese place across the way here...

The storm looks like only an inch now Sara... at least they say today! But since it is raining today- it could have ice underneath!

We aren't big on going out for New Years...so it will be a quiet evening at home for us. I'm hoping to have all of Christmas taken down by dinner tomorrow night.

I will be scrapping though....

We are having three other couples over at our house. We are going to do Chocolate fondue and Play Games. Then the fabulous Fireworks at midnight. This is the first year we have done something with someone for New Year's Eve since living here.

I LOVE the thrift store clothes idea Smile We are going to do something with our neighbors. I would have to guess that it will involve playing some Rock Band but who knows what we'll do for sure. I should put together a craft for the kids to make or something.

We are having friends over for margaritas & apps (making sweet n sour meatballs & a veggie platter) then we are heading down the road to see my friend's band play. They play lots of cheesy 80's hair metal.

I stayed home and did some scrapping and watched a movie. It's the first time I have been alone in years but I enjoyed. Forgot to get some bubbly so had water instead. At least it was a healthy start to the new year Laughing

We were invited to a neighbor's house but turned it down. DH is on call so needs to be near the laptop. We're spending the evening eating pizza, making popcorn, making cookies, and having a Wii bowling tournament. My son thinks he's going to win! lol!
