Gotta agree with K too!

One thing that is hard to accept right now is that for WHATEVER reason, not everyone was meant to give birth or even be parents. We both know some of our friends (one in particular) who are PHENOMENAL aunts but admit that they aren't cut out for parenthood. I know that I thought I would have kids of my own, but it just didn't happen. AND, maybe that was so I could "step-parent" more objectively.

Now, I'm not saying that you should quit....but maybe you should stop beating yourself up. FAILURE is not a word that has any place in this discussion. Fate maybe, luck maybe, good timing...but not failure. And it's exasperating since there are so many women out there that had no right having children. Sometimes life just isn't fair.

But, whatever decision, or outcome, we'll be there to at least provide a giggle or 2.

Thanks so much girls. I am feeling much better about things today. Part of it is just how sick I feel. I always get more pitiful when i am sick.

I understand that.
I'm a complete brat when I'm not feeling well; so pitiful is totally allowed.

K said it wonderfully.

Also, remember that there are other roads to becoming a parent.

Oh I know Laura but that overwhelms me even more. The thought of going thru fertility treatments, then IVF/Donor Eggs, THEN adoption. I just don't know how many years I want to spend doing this.

But I love what K said. I set a goal of seeing this thru IVF and that is the plan. I have to lose at least 10lbs (ideally more like 40+) so WW might be the perfect first step.

Maybe the hardest part is starting. ?? I mean, I know you are frustrated, and i can only imagine that I would have the constant "Why me? Why do I have to go through this when I want it so badly? It's not fair!!!" And i completely agree that it's not fair...but I don't know that it would be fair for you to give up trying either. Wink
Now, I am sure that it all causes a ton of stress...but our bodies under stress do us not so much good...so do what you caN to alleviate some of the stress. And I know it sounds crazy...but for me, exercise is such a great stress reliever...AND it helps with the whole weight loss goal!

Love you BIG bunches! If there is ANYTHING I can do to help-please don't hesitate to ask...otherwise, I'll just be hangin out, prayin for ya. Smile

Bree... please relax. If you know how, meditate. Or write in a journal all your irritations and close the book. If you need to or can, delegate! I'm sure there are many helping hands surrounding you!

Our DS was conceived after a string of failed fertility drugs. Dr couldn't figure out why I wasn't pregnant. He told me what to look for (not going to add that 'gooey' detail here...hahaha!) and bam...we were expecting! We tried to get pregnant for almost 2 years before I finally was with DD. Every month I would cry and get incredibly upset that I wasn't. I finally gave up and accepted the fact that it wouldn't happen. We decided that we would adopt a child. I don't think it was a month and DD entered the picture.

Bree...things will work itself out. You are a very dedicated & busy gal with a full plate! Don't be so hard on yourself! You're human like the rest of us!

Lots of wonderful advice here. Big to you! I can only imagine the frustrations you are going through. I agree with Kristine about relaxing. I truly believe eliminating or finding a way to deal with the stress of it all is so important. Stress can affect our bodies in so many ways. I know you've heard the stories too about people that stop trying and all of a sudden conceive. Obviously there are medical reasons for some things and that doesn't mean you have to stop the steps you're taking but destressing is so important to that process. Maybe a yoga class or something? Yoga truly helped me destress so much.
