A friend just told me about a new online phonebook that gives waaaaaayyyy too much personal information, you may want to search your own name and request they remove your info. I just checked and it has every home I've lived in the past 12 years, scary...

So I went and checked it out. There's nothing on there you can't find online, anyway. And it did not list that I have children in the household, so that made me feel better. Fairly recent pic of our house, I can tell by the car in the driveway.

This is so ironic that this is posted. My DH had me do this this morning! His info was loaded with stuff, mine wasn't so bad. Don't forget to check your maiden name!

so I tried the name of the town I lived in back about a dozen years ago and sure enough, there I was, new street address with old town name. so much for being much of a resource

I'm listed and my husband is listed twice...one he's married and the other he's in a relationship. lol Says I've lived here 9 years and that I make $349k. Ha!

No listing under my maiden name.

The site is so dang slow though that I got frustrated trying to opt out. Will have to try again later.

It had a lot of info about me that I don't want out there, but couldn't get to the privacy page to opt out...

my DH is a bit of a privacy nut so he has us super locked down. Thanks for the heads up on this site.

Just so you know, it's rather inaccurate, too. It has our current address, but thinks we've been living there for longer than we have. It thinks my husband is female and thinks there are only two of us living here. It also has our old phone number (area code is even wrong - it's from our house in Michigan!) It can't find any of our old addresses and you can't get our income or other stuff unless you pay.

That's why I said it's not stuff that's not public domain, anyway. The value of your house is available on several websites, and what you actually paid for it and when is available at your local county clerk's office (long before the internet made it easier).

this is a little creepy because it shows the front of our house but then again, the address is there too. another interesting fact is that they have me listed twice in california, in a house we lived in over 9 years ago. Also it shows me in Michigan as well which is where we lived prior to where we are now. In all listings, they had the kid count wrong.

i got on. it only has the last two places i lived (i think since i told them to remove me) but nothing personal. says i have no kids. alternate reality for sure lol

They had me quite wrong and didn't list my kids so Im not too worried. Looked up my sister. Says shes in her 90s and is actually her husbands mother! Can't wait to show her!

I looked up my ILs. They've lived there for about 50 years, it says 15. It has my MIL in her "late 50s". She's 71. It has my FIL as one parent in the house with the other unknown, and MIL, SIL1 and SIL2 as the "kids". Really only MIL and FIL live there. It says it's 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, it's actually 5 bedrooms and 3 baths.

The home values are pretty whacked out, too. It values our house at $100,000 less than zillow currently has it. All the other houses I looked at seemed really low, too.

I couldn't find me under my name & location, but kindof found me under my cell number??? Kind of because I say that it has my city wrong, the job I'm in completely wrong, how much I make (ooooooh how I wish I made that much!), etc. So well, it has my name right. How did you guys find the pictures and what not? Every time I click on something, it tries to make me purchase a subscription, and heck if I'm actually going to do that!

Just so you guys know, the little picture of the house with the dollar amount is your property value, supposedly, not your income. If you click on the wealth tab, it forces you to pay for more info.
