iPhone for Verizon!!!!!

I am so excited! I have been wanting an iPhone since they came out, but I am really happy with Verizon. We have been with them for a few years now and I have not had a single problem. Today they announced that they will begin releasing the iPhone 4 next month. Also, they are giving their current customers first dibs at the phones. That makes me happy. I just sent Lou and text to let him know what I will be buying next month!

The big knock is that you can't talk and surf at the same time. On the other hand it has tethering so Im sold.

I had been holding out for a Verizon Iphone because I am due for a new phone this month. Everyone keeps pushing the droid over the Iphone though???

My husband will never pay for me to have a 21st century phone.

It's going to be the same price per month as what I am paying for BB, so our plan shouldn't change.

My dad doesn't even have texting! I tell him every time that I wake him up with a phone call that if I could text him he would still be sleeping!

My dad has the droid Katie and loves it. Honestly I think both the iPhone and Droid seem good and you just have to research to see which is best for you?

LOL! It took a friend of Z's to convince him to get it for me. His overwhelming constant response was, "You don't NEED it." To which I always responded, "But I WANT it." :giggle:

Todd is going back and fourth...I'm sticking with the droid, I love my talking text and I can look up other things while I'm talking-iPhone doesn't do that

I just got this droid over the summer and I don't want another high-tech phone I have to learn all over

Yeah, thats what I don't understand. Why you can't do that with Verizon's iPhone, but you can do it with their droid...

Its a chipset problem. They had to invent a new chipset for Verizons network (and eventually sprints etc...). It just wasn't ready in time so they decided since their customers were clamoring for it they went ahead and released the iphone with that limitation.

I am super stoked about the tethering (it will act as a modem for up to 5 devices) So I can use my laptop where ever I might need to. Plus they have an unlimited data plan for $30.

No, nothing. The AT&T iPhone lets you talk and use the web at the same time. I just found it interesting that you can do it on the Verizon droid, but not the verizon iPhone.

Nothing. Its just a personal preference like Mac vs PC or Nikon Vs Canon. All of them have their unique thing so it just depends on what you want.

my husband just said he's going to wait until summer to see what new iphone apple comes out with in hopes that verizon will get it too

ok that was a lie...I hate the iphone just because my boss pushes it so much and every phone I have I get the snarky voice "its not a iphone"

my bff's wife is all over the droid now... and prefers it to the iPhone, even though she was hot on the iPhone for a while (until she got her droid).

I don't have a preference, really. It was the carrier that I had to deal with -- we've had AT&T forever and NEVER had a problem with it (unlike some other people), so it was an iPhone for me. The AT&T Droids/MSN phones just didn't appeal to me.
