Can we have an honest chat here for a moment?

The Soup has been officially up for a month now...

I am wondering what is WORKING for y'all - what you like most

and what could we do MORE of?

I feel like we did a big range of challenges and activities and wonder what you all think now that you have seen them.

Thoughts?

For those of you that post way more else where than here, what is missing here?

i love the activities and challenges
i love that things are low key
i love that i can keep up with the boards and read all of the stuff and look at everyones pages without spending 80 hrs a week on here

um, i can't think of anything to change.

I'm enjoying the classes because we have a whole month to figure it out and get it done.... and I like the tutorial-like class posts because I can learn how to do things step by step... and since I do cards at other sites, this is my mini and layout happy home...
I agree with Tonya, I like the low key atmosphere...

I must admit that this site has certainly inspired me to do more than what I already was (not much!). I love the challenges and Mojo Mondays! My DH LOVES that I do more artsy creations now. I know I'm behind with MM but sickness and heavy snowfall will certainly get in the way! I'm determined to complete it nonetheless!
I can't imagine changing a thing or expecting more! I've never felt more welcome than I do right here...adding a bit of fresh parm to my minestrone... Love it!

Can you somehow wave a magic wand giving me more time to play here and less time working??? Can you somehow plop a lump of $$ into our bank account to make up for dh still not working, so maybe I could take a deep breath?

If you can't do any of those things, then I say....this place is just right!!!

Ironically I love that its less time to keep up here too but then worry every time there is a slow day that everyone has forgotten about us! lol I need to remind myself we all have lives and part of that is NOT being on here 6 hours a day

for me the challenges are a little overwhelming just because I'm in a rut right now and so it read everything to do and lists and people's projects make my head spin-nothing to do with the project itself-just me
so I tend to stay out of those threads

I do come here every morning and I'm home most of the day so I check in quite often and post but its slower so I don't post as much

does that make sense

Honestly, I LOVE that the focus here is on the scrappy challenges. I find that I get overwhelmed in all the chit chat and games of other forums. When I get overwhelmed, I get quiet. I look forward to popping in here for my scrappy inspiration.

I also love that I never feel like I have missed something here. Does that make sense?

Jess I love this place.....and not just because I'm a CT.....this will be a place I will frequent when I am no longer a CT here (sniff sniff) Haha I am constantly trying to drag my friends from SB.com over here!

The atmosphere is laid back, good group of ladies.....no drama which I love, the challenges offer a wide range for different styles and abilities and there is something offered everyday of the week.......what else can you do?????

Sara - I do know what you mean in that when you are NOT in the mood for a challenge, then I would skip those threads too

I love that I don't have to do anything.

But seriously, I love the different features each day and the scrappy challenges. While my year hasn't yet given me as much time as I would like to scrap, I still enjoy knowing what I'm not doing.

I just have to say that I absolutely LOVE this place! I feel like I've been here forever, it's home to me. I love that it's low key and that if I have a busy day at work, I'm not going to have a million threads to try to get through (not that that's a bad thing). But I just love the Soup! I am excited to do this months project, I just need to finish the dang scrappy room so that I can actually work at my table!!

I love this site because there isn't all that overwhelming chatter that have inside jokes and super secrets ... in which i have no idea what is going on
i never feel like i am "missing" something
i feel like part of the group eventhough i am not on the CT...which means you all on the CT don't act like a clique

i love all the scrappy goodiness !!
and it motivates me to scrap
and i feel like eventhough i am not the best scrapper ... i still can post my layouts without feeling ashamed!

I am loving what everyone has said so far and agree with most of it! We are all one big family here and being not only part of the CT but part of the Soup as well has just been a huge blessing in my 2011. Everyone has made the Soup what it is and I want to thank each and every one of you !
