3.3 Thrifty Thursday - Be Crafty!
If you are like me, scrapbooking was not the first craft/hobby you tried. I still have all these older craft supplies that I have left over from other projects. Well this week, I want to encourage you to PULL them out and think about how you can use them on your scrappy projects.
** I know these are not really "challenges" but I would love to see what you have done in the past or do NEW using your craft supplies **
Some ideas:
1. Craft Paint - I know its obvious, but no one has to buy fancy "scrap" paints. Pull out those older acrylic paints and use them to paint your chipboard or paper. The great thing about OLD acrylic paint is that it gets thicker making it even better for scrap projects than new craft paint.
2. Yarn - one of my newest things is using yarn from my crochet & knitting projects on my scrappy projects. On my project below I used yarn on the layout, which reinforced the theme of the layout.
3. Sequins - forget just buying fancy trim... break out your beads and sequins and try gluing or sewing them onto your projects. In my example below I glued sequins around the edge of the cork board using fabritac.

Well I don't love this one because there is no explanation but it shows the basic steps... you make a slip knot, then keep pulling a loop thru and tightening it... super easy
