Trimmers__
I have a tonic trimmer that I got in Wisconsin one year.
Its the 6x12 one. I really like it, and it works well, but its bulky, and I like to use scissors a lot anyway.
What is everyone else's setup?

I have the same tonic trimmer, which I love. I also have a fiskars trimmer.

I have that trimmer and a smaller tonic (I think it's 8.5") That lives in my tote i take to crops. Its perfect for trimming photos and smaller pieces of paper.
My main workhorse is actually a Carl trimmer. Somehow the big tonic one just seems really cumbersome to me. This one actually has a larger footprint but its thinner (flatter?) so I just lean it against the leg of my table when Im not actually using it so it's close at hand but doesn't take up valuable table space.

I have the big tonic trimmer (was a must have after WI last year ).
When I travel, I use my old cutterpede.

I have a HUGE Purple Cows trimmer. It has a guillotine on one side and a rotary (that I never use!) on the other. I love it, but hate that it takes up so much darn space on my table!!!!!
The best thing about it is that the guillotine isn't a blade, so it's totally child-friendly. I know that Tonic blade is super duper sharp. I feel much safer having this one around my kids... I don't have to worry about anyone losing a finger. lol

Mara, my friend Sarah (who was in WI with me) has that same Carl trimmer... she swears by it. Has had it for YEARS and absolutely loves it!

I picked mine up in Walmart about 5 years ago and it. I love that it goes through chipboard and multiple cardstock sheets like butter.
I originally bought it when I was heavy into card making and now I just don't think I can live without it. lol
Re: Trimmers__
I use the Fiskar's "Craft Premium" trimmer.
I don't like guillotine trimmers since I can't cut only part of the way through very accurately, although I do have a mini tonic to cut photos with since the blade never goes dull. That one is totally child safe, even though it cuts really well. Both sides of the "blade" are thick pieces of metal with no "point", so totally safe.

I have the same one as Laura and I think i Finally have a keeper. I had one that didn't cut perfect and they replaced it free of charge. I love that it cuts bigger than 12 so I can leave the product info strip attached and I like the larger footprint.

The tonic blade is NOT at all sharp. The guillotine's all cut the same way... its how the "blade" and bottom line up that creates the cut. I image you could pinch yourself with it, but its honestly not sharp at all.

Ohhh, I didn't realize that. For some reason, I thought the Tonic was a blade!!
