Getting more out of your pop dots

Post by jennaroo on Mon Jan 10, 2011 8:53 am

I think adhesive is really expensive and I like to get the most from mine I can. So when my pop dots are gone I cut the borders around the edges they poped out of and use those just like you would the pop dots. They last me much longe this way and also allow me to have any shape I need.

TIP*** Don't use your good scissors to cut them, use a junker pair (I use old school scissors), because it leaves a sticky residue sometimes.

That's why I like the hexagonal "dots" from SU! No waste. Smile

I've been doing this from the beginning also. My only problem is that I cut as I go and I've lost a couple because I can't figure out where I've put them!

Haha I know what you mean! I've done this for a while as well and I guess telling my DD's went by the wayside and I saw one throwing the left overs away the other evening and was like no no, you can use that. So I showed her, and thought I'd share here as well. Ya never know....but awesome to hear there's thrifty scrappers out there like myself!

Oh yeah I have been doing this for years! There is so much more that can be used once you have used all of the punched dots...I sometimes prefer the "left overs" because I can cut them to any length etc.

p.s. alcohol wipes are great for getting stickiness off your scissors!
