2.10 Thrifty Thursday - Bling! Empty 2.10 Thrifty Thursday - Bling!

One of my favorite things to add to a layout is BLING! And my favorite way to be thrifty with my bling is to take something like this

2.10 Thrifty Thursday - Bling! Primabling

And cut it apart to use it all over my layout rather than just keeping it in one piece and only being able to use it on one part of my layout.

In both of these layouts I cut apart my bling swirl in order to have bling through out my page!

And it doesn't just have to be bling swirls that you do this with. The next time you are at your LSS, take a look through the clearance area. If you find ugly bling shapes or words that you would have no use for, think outside the box. Can you use the different bits of bling on your layout by cutting up the ugly designs to make something pretty and save a buck?!?

Kim - - - -you can also poke holes through most packs those come on because they leave the design behind. Then you center the package on your paper with holes poked through and use a pencil to marked small spots where the holes are kwim??? Then you can buy either the self adhesive or loose bling in the tube and adhere them to your marks that are now in the same design as the one you bought. The bling in the tube is like $3.00 and has lasted me for over a yera and I use it on everything must be over 1,000 peices, lol. Think of how much further that would get you!!!!! You could also create or copy and print a similar pattern off the www and do the same thing!

But I like your idea as well, you pay so much for so little may as well stretch it further!

1) Great tip.

2) Crap. I hate that picture of me. The hair! :gaaah:

3) Love the layout, though, and I'm thankful that it distracts from my stupid hair Smile
