House Hunters

Who doesn't like House Hunters?! I was watching one today and the guy made a comment about how weird it was to have to go through the bathroom to get to the closet. Mentally going through homes I know, only two don't make you go through the bathroom to get to the closet. Is that a Texas thing? A Southern thing? A newer home thing?

I like that show too!
and I like going to the Parade of Homes that our area has evrery summer and I can say around here it is somewhat rare to go through the bathroom to the closet .. on the parade there may be 2 homes out of 16 built that way... so I think it is kind of rare too

Ok, I've read this through, 3 times, and I'm confused. So, you have to go through a bathroom, just to get to a closet? Like a coat closet or something? Bathroom closet??

it's the master bathroom to the master bedroom closet is what I see

Soooo, on there's like two doors in the bathroom? One to get to the hall, and one to a closet?

Forgive me, it's towards the end of the day, and I think my brain is getting fried.

yep two door in the bathroom .. one to the closet, one to the bedroom
although I've seen some where they don't put doors on the closet .. good way to steam your clothes I guess if the shower get hot!

Interesting, I can honestly say I've never seen that!

Pretty much yes..like at my house there is the door to the bathroom and then at the end of my bathroom is my closet and there is a door to that.

My parents have a HUGE master bath, so the door from their bedroom goes into this like foyer which has two doors off of it - the closet and the toilet room. Then if you go forward it opens up to the bathtub/shower/vanity area. So technically you are in the bathroom when you open the door to go into the closet.

Me either. I have seen the opposite sometimes... walk in closet to get to the bathroom but that seems rare. I think its odd to have to go thru my bathroom to get to my clothes... but I guess it would be nice for getting dressed post shower?

Oh...and I absolutely everything HGTV...House Hunters, Holmes on Holmes, Income Property...watch them all.

My master closet in in my bedroom - it is a walk-in...

See, to me having a closet off your bedroom is weird. The only houses I could come up with that didn't have a bathroom to closet had a bathroom on the left, vanity in the middle and closet on the right.

I've never seen it before

My house in Texas had a closet in the master bedroom and another one in the master bath.

My house here in Colorado has the closet in the bedroom.

See that is so weird. I don't know anyone's home like that I think... except you I guess but I have never seen it.

The house I grew up in had that also until my parents remodeled and expanded the small closet and cut out the bathtub room. Their bathroom was really three. A vanity area with a closet, the toilet/shower area/room, and then a HUGE bathtub room/area.
