In the thread about the Recipe Books- Some of you mentioned needing recipes etc to cook/bake... I only learned to bake this past year when my Auntie gave me this awesome cookbook for Christmas last year!!

http://www.amazon.com/Betty-Crocker-Baking-Basics-Confidence/dp/047028661X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1293729248&sr=1-1

It has super easy recipes... it gives you all the info you need about the ingredients, how things work- why they mioght not have worked if something went wrong... it shows you about pans, methods, tools...

Spiral bound... super easy to follow! I use the Banana Bread recipe all the time! YUMMY!!

Betty Crocker is my cooking/baking bible! I have a 1960s version like my moms. Back in the good old days before they worried about fat and calories. The food was just good! It is funny to read the captions before each section. They talk about how to "please your man" and how to be a great hostess '60s style Baking Basics 599908

This ones my favorite..What's the American man's favorite dessert? Most people would agree- it's pie.....If you care about pleasing a man-bake a pie. But make sure it's a perfect pie.
Another good one..Hot muffins to warm the inner man- a wonderful addition to any breakfast, brunch or coffee break.
