So where online to you do your scrap shopping? Empty So where online to you do your scrap shopping?

Post by Mara Thu Dec 09, 2010 3:36 pm

I used to buy a ton online and stopped the last year and a half cause I have more product than god.

BUT I sold a doll for WAAAAAY more than I paid for her so I want to treat myself. I bought some stuff on 2peas but Its going to take them 10+ days just to pull the order and get it ready for shipping.

Totally Unacceptable! So where online to you do your scrap shopping? 550

So I still have about $50 to treat myself with. Any recommendations on what to buy and where to get it from?

I would like to know the answer to this too. My LSS sucks lately! I did find another one that is WAYYY on the other side of town, so hopefully I can start shopping there. My problem is that I am a touchy, feely shopper and I want it NOW!

All my LSS's are closing. Its crappy.

I've done almost all my shopping at Studio Calico, but I have a subscription, so I just order stuff around when my box is gonna ship and then there are extra goodies. They've been expanding their inventory, but they don't have a ton of stuff.

They ship UPS ground, from KY, so shipping time would depend on that.

But I've also been into buying weird stuff lately, so art supply stores have been my second home.

I've gotten some cool artist tape, and some new acrylic paints.

I really really want some more washi tape. I think its so cool lol. Um...other than that...I dont know lol. I'm not very helpful Smile

How do you feel about the kit club? Bree and I were doing Kenner Road and I loved it, but they quit the kit business. I want to join another kit club, but just haven't got around to researching again.

Ok to hijack my own thread...

thats so funny cause I have been thinking of both joining studio calico and I bought a set of the 7mm washi tape (got it on clearance for $30 for 20 rolls.

I want it in every color and pattern they have but damn it adds up fast. I did see one seller on etsy selling it by the yard. She unspools a section of it and very carefully winds it back onto a wooden spool. I sort of want to try to do that to see if I could split orders with someone. i have $132 of tape sitting in my shopping cart (I did put it on my amazon wishlist hoping maybe Paul would get me some). If I could figure out how to split them out then I could get people to go in together with me and Id have more variety for less $$$

LOVE these sets:

If you figure out how to split it up, I would definitely go in with you.

And Studio Calico, I honestly think is the best kit club in the business. They are super reliable, their main kit is always wonderful, and never too themey. They don't use the same collection for an entire kit, their own personal designers are fantastic. The add-ons are what you would want, they all coordinate just enough with the main kit, but are totally different from each other.

Their DT is incredible.

Um, I could go on forever and ever, but seriously, if you want a great monthly kit, they are fantastic. And from the business end, they are so so reliable.

It has been so long since I bought anything scrap-related other than a kit I don't have an answer for you.

Love all those tapes! I need to get me some.

No shopping for scrappy goodness for me lately. Although I do get kits form Scarlet Lime every month. Might be time to switch to a new one.

Oh my gosh...I love that washi tape by the foot! The only reason I haven't bought any is because I don't need THAT much tape in one style that you normally see.

I'll second the Studio Calico kits. I'm not a subscriber but have ordered in the past and just love them.

I was subscribing to Scrapbook Circle for a while and they were cute kits. I wasn't TOTALLY in love with all of them but I liked them.

I'm already panicking about not being able to buy wholesale anymore so I need a good source too!

I love 2peas, and usually, when it's not holiday time post-sale, their shipping is quite fast (under a week). I get a kit from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out, but you have to embrace their philosophy to really enjoy them, I think. I've been tempted by Studio Calico, and if another kit were it my budget I'd be ordering from them. But since I still have a great LSS, I have to save some cash for them

since most of my online shopping lately has been for cricut cartridges and supplies I go to
cricutmachine.com
ohmycrafts.com
customcrops.com
archivers now sells online too .. archiversannex.com I believe is the link, I haven't checked them out yet though!

I haven't ordred from 2 peas in forever as the shipping took nearly 2 weeks and I'm only 2 hours from the warehouse .. doesn't make sense

Scrapgal.com is where I get most of my stuff. I normally get it within a week. There are a few places on eBay that I trust and are easy to work with.

Scrapgal is currently doing a 12 Days of Christmas thing and they are on Day 8, they will also hold your order for you during this time only if you tell them in a message during the order.

I've also ordered from A Cherry On Top, but I find their shipping prices pretty outrageous. They do get things out quick though!

ACOT is only a couple of hours from my house. I should order from them and then drive over and pick it up. Or better yet, have Rob pick it up, since it is right around the corner from where he works...
