Need Mini Ideas

I am reaching out to the queens of mini albums. I need help...PLEASE. I am looking for cute ideas for a mini for Lily's (my 11 yo) girlfriend. We have bought her gf a green sock monkey....Reese. Reese has gone on several adventures before going to live at his new home and we have taken photos to document this. For example, Reese ate a egg & ham sandwich (moving to a vegetarian household), Reese went to a swim meet, Reese spying on Hannah at school, etc. Now Lily and I would like to create a mini of Reese's life before Hannah. Any ideas?????

And what a super cute idea! Love that you took all those photos. I wonder if you can do journaling like Reese kept a blog and print out his entries for each trip!

A shape or base idea would be great. That is always the part I struggle with. How do you decide?

I often make my own so most of mine are not pre-made. BUT if I have some premade around the house that I like I start by thinking if those could work. I also think about what size photos I want to use. What product I have around that I want to use. I often just make an album from cardstock, then cover it with acrylic or chipboard.

Do you want to use 4x6 photos? Or squares?

Do you want all the pages the same size so it will go together fast or would you prefer a mixed up album for more fun?

Pre-made or make your own?

Some formats I like:
All mixed up shapes
5.5 by 8.5 (cut 8.5 by 11 into 5.5 by 8.5 sheets and use that)
Circle albums
Waterfall albums (then you can put a place or word or letter on each flap of the waterfall)
Pocket albums (journaling can go inside)
Envelop albums (again, journaling can go inside)

I don't know if the format would be too small or not, but how about using one of the altoids cans & put the mini in that. The tin could even attach to the sock monkeys arm,

If you want to go really simple, you could always use 4x6 photos as your base pages, and then have the journalling about each opposite (on the back of the previous photo), and could dress the text up with a simple border or frame of some sort, then you just need to make a simple chipboard cover.

To me, for this sort of project, you really want a huge focus on the photos showing what her monkey has been getting up to, so this seems like a nice easy way to do it!
