Ever chicken out on a layout?

I always get these great ideas in my head involving messier techniques or sewing or doodling or some other "advanced" technique and then when it comes time to actually start making the layout I chicken out.

I fall back on the easy road because Im afraid of failing. Ive done it four times just today. I get so frustrated with myself for not being a little braver. I mean its just paper right?? Even if i totally mess it up i could just reprint the photo and try again right???? Lord knows its not like Im going to run out of supplies any time soon.

So why oh why do I do this????

I used to do that all the time

I've just taken to the philosophy of just effing do it lately.

If I have a cool product I wanna use, then I just use it.

If I screw it up, well...I like ripping things up...so, why not?

If I try a technique several times and keep failing then, yeah, I am not so willing. But otherwise - just do it! I mean like you said, you mess it up so what? Start over!

There is really no risk other than getting frustrated.

i do that all the time..but i am a perfectionist...i swear there has to be a support group for that.

Mine just never come out as I envision them...But I'm like you too sometimes, afraid of spending all that precious time for nothing.

Its not for nothing!! you've figured out how NOT to do what you want to do so next time you won't try it that way
