coming to this thread late...
I got a sofa this week for my Xmas present, dh found one on craigslist or freecycle, not sure which!
pix on my bloggity blog...
other than that, I asked for either an item of clothing or a new funky ring to replace my broken one

Me too. DH is self employed and work has been too sporatic. I do spend a bit on my scrappy stuff so Im ok with keeping the presents for the kids.
