Ughhh that totally sucks! And I ironically I ran out of sugar while baking last weekend so I know just how frustrating it is. Sorry your massive bake-a-thon is on hold.

Oh no, Tam! It's too bad that you don't live next door to me. Somehow when my MIL was here in September, she left me with TWO five lb bags of sugar!!

Everyone who knows me knows how much Banana Bread I make. And it takes a lot of sugar. I guess I did not realize I have not picked any up for awhile now. Plus, our bags of sugar are SMALL.

Thomas's cousin usually brings a lot of cookies to the house. I should confirm that they are coming this year or not. I don't really bake that much. I feel like everyone else does plus vendor gifts of food make me really not want to bake.

But I do want to make Tam's PB fudge!

K, I'm with you! I actually don't mind baking, but I just don't do it for Christmas. I don't do any special baking for the holidays.

I only do cookies, and only because the boys love it so much. And besides, what would we put out for Santa if we didn't make them?

Lemon Squares are done and Russian Teacakes are baking.

I am thinking of adding Almond Roca to my baking list. Bought the stuff. Just doubt I will have time today. Perhaps tomorrow.

Id love to see the russian teacake recipe.

I make Viennese Crescents this year. They were a staple growing up I just need to call my mom and see how hard they are to make.

Russian Teacakes look like the Mexican Wedding Cookies tess was talking about. The recipe is from Betty Crocker. I'll pull out the cookbook and upload it. Smile

Almond Roca is my mom's recipe and we have made it since I was little every Thanksgiving weekend. It is seriously yummy and easy. I'll post the recipe in the morning. It is past midnight here and I am heading up to bed.

Had friends over last night to play Settlers of Catan. Served them Russian Teacakes, Caramels, Peanut butter Fudge, Lemon Squares and Banana Bread. They kept ranting and raving about how good it all was.

I want to make Mock Toffee today, Almond Roca and maybe even Banana Bread.
