Aaaauuuggghhhhh....so I'm debating with myself on what I want to do for binding. Driving myself insane. Project: Life Memorabilia - Chit Chat - Page 3 705759

I'm also thinking, due to my out of control schedule that I will look at this from a month-to-month project.

-Love the accordion binding, but I'm concerned that if I need to add to it, I could be in trouble. Plus, I think I want to make each month a different "color" scheme.

-Not a big 3 ring binder fan, so I'm not going that route.

-I'm thinking of no binding at all....just some big rings to hold it together when I'm done.

Also thinking about size....8 x 8, 9 x 9, 6 x 9???? Project: Life Memorabilia - Chit Chat - Page 3 705759

i've agonized too. i like the accordian binding and that is what i'm using, but i'm not adding the back cover until I see how many pages i'll really need.
but discovered today that inserting a folded piece of paper gives me two more sides to decorate.

Are you using one the same papers throughout? I'm just seriously concerned that this might be confining as the year progresses. I like what Bree did as the binding looks really nice and consistent from a color standpoint, but I just don't know if I can limit myself like that.

Ponder, ponder....what to do, what to do???? Project: Life Memorabilia - Chit Chat - Page 3 664242 Project: Life Memorabilia - Chit Chat - Page 3 42541

Mine is a total hodge podge with very little actual scrapbooking paper so far. For binding I just punched holes and used binder rings for my binding.

I was stressed about how little I have and was trying to force myself to make more pages and realized thats just not realistic for me. My life is sort of boring and I don't want to force it. I will document what my life actually is. If I don't do anything that week than so be it.

I think I'm leaning towards the binder rings too...and M...you'll have way more than you think. You just got back from a trip, we've got the cabin weekend coming up and you have a vacation on the horizon. It only sounds boring now.

Are you using the same size pages throughout or are those going to be varied? I'm thinking about varying...but I need to make a decision and just start.

Aaaahhhh....procrastination in king right now. Project: Life Memorabilia - Chit Chat - Page 3 550

Sheila the accordion fold binding is super easy to expand or make smaller. It can be as few or as many pages as you want.

M - I know what you mean but I guess its just WHAT you want to document. If you only documents "events" like trips and things you go out to do, I feel ya. I am also mixing in trends of my life right now. Like products I love to use and why. Observations about how I live my life. Like I am putting in a WW point finder since I rejoined WW. And I am putting in one of those cards to order Scrapbook Trends magazine to talk about how I am stalking the stores to see my mini album there. And I McD's chicken nugget box to document my love of junk food and weakness for it even when I am doing WW.

But I agree... don't force it or stress it. Like I said, 2 sides of a page each week alone is still 100 pages! Very Happy

Sheila, mine really doesn't look like a scrapbook. i love the accordian binding, and like I said, i haven't put the back cover on in case i want to add more accordian. but i also used the only piece of double sided pp i had in that pattern, so if i do add more, it is going to show up as a different color.

i'd say mine has no color theme at all. i'm not using photos except for those i print from my phone in a wallet size.

my pages are different sizes, though i couldn't bring myself to have something sticking outside my 9x9 cover, so I did trim a magazine cover i used as a page by itself. lol

i'm looking at it more like an everyday moments kind of thing about ME versus actually scrapping photos of events, or kids or pets or whatever. its kind of a sneak peek into my head.
since i'm traveling so much, i think it is really going to be fun to look back on this at some point and i'll be glad i captured some of this.

S- Mine aren't even real pages. Well not all the same size. For a lot of them I am using the actual memorabilia as the base for the page.

And Bree I know what you mean and I am doing a little of that but I don't want a whole album of just random stuff. It just doesn't feel right to me. I want my real life (so I am doing some of my food wrappers etc...) I just need to embrace my boringness right now. lol

i just had a great idea (if i do say so myself lol)
i bought a dayplanner for aly when she was in boarding school and didn't realize it was dated 2011.
well now she isn't in boarding school and i have $45 worth of day-by-day calendar pages.
i just glued one in to the 'back' side of my binding (on Breezer's video, she glues her pages to the 'front' side of the inside fold and so do i). this gives me another 'page' in the book without adding more folds
kwim?
anyway, i'll get my $45 out of that damn planner anyway.

OK....I think I'm going to do the accordion binding, since I REALLY love how it looks.

And I think I'll use some type of neutral paper stock that will do with anything else I pick to use on the inside.

Yay...a decision!!

Thanks for the input. Project: Life Memorabilia - Chit Chat - Page 3 4591

Work, work, work....all I do is work.

Hope to pick up my spine (yes, that's all I have done so far, and at that, I have to glue more) this weekend.

On a happier note, work is getting busy for me, and that's never a bad thing these days. Very Happy

OH...and I did get a batch of Vegas pics in the mail today from Shutterfly.
