Fighting impulsive eating!
I usually do well on WW when I PLAN or THINK first. So avoiding situations where I just auto-eat is something I try to work on.
Like today I waited too long to eat. This means I then risk just eating ANYTHING in site! So I ate a cup of veggie soup, drank some water, and I am waiting 15 more minutes before I go eat my meal. This way I will eat slower, and eat less.
What do you do to plan or avoid eating before you really realize what you are doing?

Im trying to drink water or other diet beverage when I feel like grazing. They say that most overweight people confuse thirst signals with hunger signals plus I need to work on getting my water in every day.
I also keep some ~100 calories snacks or fruits around so if I do decide to have a little something it's not totally blowing my points.

K I am going to have to order those! I watched the video lol Sounds super yummy. Love that they are all natural.

And i also keep these in the fridge. http://www.pillsbury.com/Products/Cookies/Sweet-Moments
and if I'm really craving chocolate, or a desert type treat I have one. and one is 60 calories, and its totally satisfying to me, because of how rich it is.

I am thinking about getting something like that K...
I prefer a very rich small treat. I don't care for a lot of the 100 calorie packs because I just want something else when I am done! lol
I guess I can go eat now.

I have found these and I absolutely LOVE them! They're organic and do contain real fruit. They're only 45 calories each and they give me that sweet taste I want when I'm craving a Sunkist. I only allow myself one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Re: Fighting impulsive eating!
That's my problem today. Yesterday, I only had dinner to eat (around 5) so now today, I'm like a starving maniac. I had actually just walked over to the deli to get a cupcake, and ended up getting a soda since she had no cupcakes left. It would seem I must not be meant to have one (which is good)

Abby! I've been looking at those for a while and wondering if they are any good. I'll have to pick them up next time i'm at Target,
Re: Fighting impulsive eating!
They are so good but since I've only allowed myself one at a time since the beginning. I could easily eat four in one sitting.

I try my hardest to eat at 2-3 hour intervales to keep me from auto eating. At work I usually pack a HUGE bottle of water & a piece of fruit. I always have can of almonds beside my desk so when i get too busy I count out a serving to hold me over.

I am so happy to see these ideas! I ate breakfast yesterday, then we left the house all day. While we were out I was hungry, but I wasn't somewhere that had healthy options, so I just didn't eat which is not good either. Then at dinner I had to stop myself from eating everything in sight!
Those fruit leathers that Abby posted from Target are really good, but not really filling. They do work great for a sweet craving though. I love them so much I have a hard time not eating the whole box!

I know that when I am sitting around I tend to want to eat all day long. I have found that if I buy veggies and cut them up right away so I can just grab them and eat that I do better about grazing on at hand junk.

I also get the fruit snacks from Target, and I throw a bunch in my purse. While they arent the best snack for you. One pack is enough to fill me up when I'm aching for food, and its the kinda thing that I'm always willing to eat. Sometimes when I would put snacks in my purse they would just sit there cause it was like...nah, I dont feel like that.
