Friday Xmas Eve

Good morning!
Are you up bright and early like me, making your final list and checking it twice?
Hope it's a great day!

I'm up I'm up. but I don't have as much to do as some people. I have to pick up a pie from a local bakery, make some chocolate/peanut butter squares and make deviled eggs, to bring to my mom's tomorrow. Jason's working till 8 tonight (he's a manager at papa gino's), so I have the day to myself and we'll exchange gifts when he gets home - oh wait, I probably should have told him that, lol.

what are you hoping santa brings you? My dad is giving me a kindle that he actually won but won't use, but otherwise, I had a really hard time suggesting things this year. If I want something, I usually just buy it. Poor Jason said he had a miserable time trying to pick something o ut, poor guy.

Santa brought me a printer early... very fun.
I'm still waiting on two gifts for dh and ds to arrive ups! biting nails...

Santa got me my IPAD early too. I haven't been using it much. Just wanted it for when I travel.

I've been a good little girl this year and my best Christmas gift will be celebrating Christmas Eve with my sweet grandson Mason!

This evening we're celebrating christmas at home.
And this christmas weekend we will be running around visiting family and join for diners.
But I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.

I love Papa Gino's but we don't have it out here makes me miss home!

I'm up...Kenzie thought it was Christmas and got up bright and early
but at 9am we are opening gifts from us and my MIL is here so she will open gifts from us and us from her
we leave Christmas morning just for Santa for the kids
its nice because instead of me worrying if everyone is getting their gifts I can just sit back and watch the kids!!
so anyway, we are doing that this morning, then I'm baking all afternoon and then tonight we will go to Todd's cousin's house for dinner

My house is a pig sty but everyone is home today so I will be making a to-do list and telling everyone to pick something! I'll be starting laundry shortly and I still have grocery shopping and gift wrapping to do!

I'm making some money tags for the cash we give Joe's kids right now. I'm be glad to get it over with and then I'll move into the kitchen and finish up the last minute cookie stuff.

I must tell you about yesterday.

It all started out innocent enough. I took Karoline home at about 11am then met Dad at the Big Boy and had breakfast. After that I visited with Mom for a bit.

Then I decided to visit my friend Ginger who is still in the hospital....

the hospital she is in is on 7 Mile (that is on the edge of Detroit) that is about 50 miles from my house.

there is one medication she has to bring when she is hospitalized because hospital pharmacies don't carry it.(don't get me started on some weird policies like this) it is for her nebulizer. she needed more. her doctor was there at the same time I was and suggested that rather than me driving all the way back home to her house to get more (and driving back down) that he write a script for it and I just go to a local pharmacy and get it filled.

Hi Everyone!

I am doing some creative online stuff. Thinking I should take some detail photos of Christmas (I NEVER DO... so I think I will snap some pics today of the wrapped gifts, the cheese ball I am making, etc.).

I want to cook a bit today since I have nothing really to do. I think I will make Tam's PB fudge and I will be making a double batch of Chicken Cheese Ball - one for my mom's and one to take to my IL's house tomorrow.

so I take this script first to the regular pharmacy at the hospital. they don't have it.

but the pharmacist is very nice and made a call to a local place and yes! they do have it!!!

so I walk to that place 'cause it is closer than my car.

that pharmacist brings me the medication and I say that is not what I am supposed to be getting and he says "I wondered about that". Turns out the script is written for an inhaler and not for nebulizer medication....

So I ended up driving all the way home, getting her medication from her house, and driving back to St. John hospital, and then back home again.

I finally got home at about 10:30pm. I was away from home for 11.5 hours.

This whole time Lola was on my bed and trapped there because she won't jump off of it.

Poor Lola! Poor Leslie!
Hope today goes better...

OH NO!! Poor Lola!! Poor Leslie! All that driving back and forth!! What a day! Hope Ginger feels better soon! That sucks to be in the hospital over Christmas!

I have roasted the veggies for my butternut squash soup... it is all in the Crock pot going now... I love the way Butternut squash and onions smell together, TASTE Together!! LOL
