Friday Xmas Eve

Today we're just getting ready to do our double-dip Christmas Eve. First my parents' at 4, then ILs at 7. Appetizer spreads both places. Then it just the four of us tomorrow, so it's a jammie day! lol

All I have to do is plate some cookies to bring to each house and get real clothes on. Oh, and convince the boys (all three of them) to wear nice clothes, not jeans and t-shirts!

Lots of cooking and dishes today. Off to my SIL's at 6. Then 16 people here to celebrate tomorrow.

We are so small this year at my mom's since my one sister moved and my nephews are visiting her. There will just 6 of us tonight - 3 couples.

Tomorrow will be more 14.

Haven't started baking yet...forgot to take the butter out of the fridge so I'm playing until it softens up some more.

My Xmas Eve is already in the past! Funny funny funny! Love that :)) There was five of us :) I was the smallest kid :/

we are leaving in about 1/2 hour for Todd's cousins house...I'm glad I don't have to cook tonight

I just picked Ginger up at the hospital and brought her home (to her house)

It's Christmas Day here already. Will be getting ready to head out to BBQ with friends soon.

The house is clean with lots of help from my wonderful hubby! Tom, Kacie, and I are just relaxing at home tonight while Kim, Lou, & Julia go to Lou's aunt's house. I still need to do my wrapping but I am waiting until they leave. Tomorrow my kids will all be here in the morning to open gifts and have breakfast then Kim and Jason will be off with their families to visit various inlaws.

Hallooo.... in the time it took me to watch not quite the whole movie on Netflix.. I finished 8 mini=quiches, the lasagna (in the fridge until I am ready to cook it) drank a beer and one of the qcuiches and used my new immesion blender to finish the soup... that was fun!

I still might make a few mini-apple pies... depends on if Sylla ends up coming over tonight or not I think...

Cindy- I didn't do my hair or anythig- figured since I was wearing as hat and coat... same as you- no one would notice!!

I DO need to hop in the shower now though... can't be all smelly and not dressed nice on Christmas Eve... LOL Plus I have no make-up on or anything!

Leslie- I am so glad Ginger is home at her own house for Christmas- hope she continues to feel better!

Finishing my December Daily up to the 24th. Some journaling left to do.
We can't find ds's kitty anywhere. We saw her when we got\ home, but dh thinks she got out of the house... I'm going to panic if she's not home by 9 since we have wolves and coyotes. Eek.
How's everyone doing tonight? Wrapping done? Baking done?
I'm ready to watch HIMYM...

p.s. found the cat, she was at the bottom of ds's sleeping bag hiding...

Watching a Madea movie.. she always makes me laugh... Sylla will be here- but probably still another few hours away.. when I talled to him at 6 he still had one more run for work.. then he still hadn;t gotten me my gift yet! LOL But I told him not to stress it... but now it is too late... he will have to get it after Christmas... MEN!

I would rather he come over and not be alone tonight than worry about whether or not he got me a gift!

We aren't eating until 8:30 so we are all just hanging out doing nothing really. Turkey is in the oven. Mom is peeling potatoes. I'll go help and set the table and stuff in a bit

YUm, turkey and taters.... sounds good. We are having just ham this year instead of both ham and turkey since we are flying out right after Xmas.
Don't think we could store the leftovers...
I'm slicing more transparencies to make Days 26-31 for my daily. It's worked out well to use those up, who uses them any more now that there is PowerPoint.
