Crop games and ideas needed
I NEVER attend crops and I am in charge of putting a pretty big one together for my lss, I need help.
Do you all like to play games or have mini challenges that you have the day to complete during crops?
I need ideas for game's and activities ect. Any important tips and advice is welcome!!!!
Also we are hosting a swap, how do you all do this so it's fair? Theres always a few that don't bring but take I'm sure??? Is giving a ticket for each item they brought to swap and letting them buy items off the swap table for 1 ticket a peice rude? How do you all do it?
TIA

I have seen some games work better than others. I popular one is to give out prizes for the first who can show you a specific item... like a photo of disney, a gold brad, shaped scissors, etc.
I don't care for layout challenges/contest because I have been people submit layouts they clearly planned out in advance and its not fair to those that didn't. But maybe that is me.
Trivia or regular games can be fun too.
I say not TOO many games so people can mostly crop Most crops I go to have no games unless they were more expensive.
Swaps are tricky. I mean what if one person brings something horrible and someone else something nice? I think you will need clear guidelines on the value of the items for it to work?

I'm actually with Bree on this one. When I go to an in person crop, I generally just like doing my own thing.
But I agree with Bree in the "lets make a deal" kinda show me a yellow flower first type game would be fun.
Music/Snacks/Garbage planning is essential.

Thanks guys, I was think 1 challenge per day, it's a 3 day crop.....2 games fri as it starts in mid day.....4 games sat it starts in am and goes all night and 3 games sun it starts eary and ends when ppl leave.....so if they are spread out and easy so ppl can scrap I think I should be ok.
I agree with the swap, I don't want garbage in return.....

At my weekend scrap retreats we have a bingo grid for everyone. It is a 9 square grid and they get tickets for each square. The squares are specific to our retreat but it could include things like scrap a single photo LO, use 3 circles on a LO, scrap a LO using a photo with an animal in it, etc. For our retreat, everyone starts with 5 tickets and then earn more tickets from the grid. We have door prize drawings about 4 times throughout the weekend.

For garbage, I would try to use the plastic grocery bags, and see if you can get enough for everyone, and then masking tape them to the tables.

Ours does raffles, that way everyone gets a chance at a prize, no matter if they planned something or not. Small stuff mostly, and door prizes. It's more of a do your own thing get together.

I was going to mention Bingo, but Michelle beat me to it.
I used to organize scrap weekends 9 times a year before I moved here. And I used to have games and challenges. But the people that attended my crops were not interested in that. They just wanted to scrap without the interruptions.
Also, instead of a swap, you could do a rummage sale table. Just a thought.

When I go to a crop I just want to scrap. I am not really into the games and challenges cos I want to get as much done as I can.

Maybe some sort of Bingo or raffle...something that allows everyone to work independently without much interruption. Maybe everyone gets 'tickets' and they can drop them in a container next to the prizes they would like to win. They could have opportunities to win more tickets for more chances to win the prizes...you could draw prizes throughout the weekend. Maybe say next to the prize what time you will be drawing.
